Timeline for 2007 Street Projects
Stage 1: Intersection Improvements (to be done any time prior to stage 4)
Stage 2: South City Limits to 12th Street (April to end of June)
Stage 3: 12th Street Intersection and Repaving to Marsden Park Road (July)
Stage 4: 12th Street to North Project Limits (Mid July/August to October)
Stage 5: 4th Street Intersection (October to November)
Start Date first of April 2007-Completion Date is expected Nov. 15, 2007 - Dates are estimates only and may be affected by contractor operations.

Project Bids - The WI DOT is accepting bids from contractors. The bid opening is scheduled for November 14 (several companies are interested in this project). Project awarded to low bidder in December 2006.

Project Plans - Now available at the Director of Public Works and Promotions Coordinator's office for viewing. Please contact John J. Murphy 822-6501 if you have any questions or concerns.

Public Meeting - The City, BR Committee, Project Engineer & Contractor will hold a public meeting/open house in March 2007. The contractor and city will have very detailed information at this meeting.

Signage - Steve Lendosky has requested sign bids from several sign companies. Signs To Go has been selected as the sign company that will be used. The BR committee is committed to adequate uniform signage during the road construction process. Signage is especially important during stage 4 of the project. Large signs will be placed at all four city entrances in addition to directional signs to specific businesses.

Blue Ribbon Fundraising

Fennimore Gold Cards - Fennimore Gold Cards are here! Are you interested in selling cards at your business place? See Linda Parrish - they are divided into packets of 20. Please turn in money and any unsold cards to the Promotions Coordinator's office by November 1. A community canvas to sell cards is planned for Wednesday, Nov 8 - are you interested in helping that evening starting at 6 p.m.? Cards sell for $10 - there are 22 businesses offering great discounts. Checks should be made payable to the Fennimore Area Foundation or FAF. All proceeds will be used for promotional activities related to the 2007 Lincoln Avenue Street project. The Fennimore Gold Card would make a perfect stocking stuffer, employee gift, etc. There are 680 Gold Cards for sale - We will split the sales with Variety Gold on a 50/50 basis. The key to the project is to sell all of the cards. Thank you for your support!

Variety Show - Plans are underway for a Community Variety Show at the Fennimore High School on Saturday, January 13, 2007 starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for 3 years through high school. More details will be coming soon.

Hardees $1 Combo Coupons - Present the coupon when you purchase a Hardee's Combo meal and $1 will be donated to the Blue Ribbon Lincoln Ave fundraising committee. Coupons are good at Fennimore and Dodgeville Hardees thru 12/31/06. Please take a poster to display at your business to help us on this project.

Texas Hold'EM Tournament - The top ten point holders will play for the coveted gold bracelet on Saturday, December 2 at 3 p.m./Cottonwood Sports Bar & Banquet
