Introducing the Public Library Expansion Project

On October 7th, 2024 Governor Evers announced $115 million in grants to 35 local and tribal communities for new construction and renovations of public libraries and community centers. Dwight T. Parker Public Library was among the recipients awarded $4,250,000 for this much anticipated renovation and expansion of the library.
This additional space is about more than providing books but facilitating knowledge and creating a space for community engagement with meeting room space, private study room space for work, education and healthcare consultations, space for public use gatherings, youth, teen, and adult programming, access to technology with high-speed internet, and most importantly providing barrier free access for everyone. We are grateful to Governor Evers for his support of public libraries and are excited to bring these plans to fruition.
We also are eternally grateful and look forward to collaborating with the City of Fennimore on this exciting project and appreciate your ongoing support at this historic moment where bold thinking will determine Fennimore’s future. The library project is an opportunity to pay it forward and create a place that strives to bring people together for common goals, beckons newcomers, fosters the growth of our youth, and enriches the lives of our citizens.
Please consider supporting the Library with a tax-deductible contribution. Any amount is appreciated, and naming opportunities are available for larger donations. Any monies left over will be used to expand the library’s offerings and add to our endowment.
