Submitted by Linda Parrish, Promotions Coordinator 608-822-3599
A-1 Excavating, Inc. continues work on South Lincoln Avenue. Plans for the week include storm sewer work from 16th Street moving north toward 12th Street which they will tie in near the Casey's General Store intersection.
A-1 Excavating, Inc. will continue to put gravel in place in preparation for the paving crew which is scheduled to begin laying new pavement the week of May 14.
The paving crew will also complete the work on the Washington Street intersections. Keep in mind the Washington Street will be an official detour route during the stage four of road construction which will not begin until late July.
Traffic is reminded it is impossible to travel on South Lincoln Avenue; your cooperation will help keep the road construction project on schedule.
WisDOT project engineer Jeremy Krachey reports the next public information meetings will be held May 14 and June 11. The meetings are held at the Fennimore Memorial building 860 Lincoln Avenue starting at 5 p.m. This meeting is open to the public and especially those residents and businesses affected by the current portion of road construction.
The current phase of the road construction is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by June 29. There will be no detours in the Fennimore area between June 29 and July 8.
Those having questions are encouraged to stop by the WisDOT field office located at 1030 Lincoln Avenue or call 608-822-3992.
