“Shop Small – Win Big” Promotion Winners Announced
The Fennimore Area Chamber of Commerce holiday promotion “Shop Small – Win Big” began November 18 and ran through December 13. All entries were collected from businesses and combined for Santa to draw the winners during his visit to the Fennimore Fire Department on Dec 16. The Grand Prize winner of $300 in Fennimore bucks is Harry Aldrich of rural Fennimore.
The sixteen $25 winners include: Jill Schwer, Heather Copus, Barb Romberg, Evelyn Freymiller, Deb Gunderson (won twice), Candice Wilson, Khristina Graser, Laura Kirschbaum, Cindy Lund and Maya Stepanek, all of Fennimore. Other winners include: Colleen Watters of Mineral Point, Zachary Schnitzler of Bagley, Kathy Wall of Lancaster, Beth Fruit of Richland Center and Bette Perkin of Blue River. All prizes paid in Fennimore bucks which may be used the same as cash at more than 120 chamber member businesses.

The Shop Small Win Big promotion is a self-funded promotion with Fennimore bucks prize money sponsored by the following businesses: $175 – Peoples State Bank; $125 – Gundersen Boscobel Hospital & Clinics, $100 – Wood Law Firm and American Bank; $75 Goodman Gutters and $50 Subway. We thank all of the sponsors for making this promotion possible.
Holiday Decorating Winners
After a very successful fall decorating contest the Fennimore Area Chamber of Commerce decided to sponsor the Festive Fennimore holiday decorating contest. The following businesses received the top three prizes: 1st Place – Depot Exchange Thrift Store, they received a bag of goodies provided by chamber businesses a $200+ value. Second place went to Clare Bank, their prize was $50 Fennimore Bucks and third place went to Serendipity Salon & Day Spa, they received $25 Fennimore Bucks. We appreciate all of the businesses who took the time to decorate their businesses. Watch for more details on 2018 Holiday Decorating for Businesses which will be changed to include residential decorating.
Fennimore Chamber’s 42nd Annual Christmas Creations Craft Show
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 25 and plan to attend one of the largest and best quality craft shows in the Tri-State area. Two gyms will be full of vendors and high quality homemade items perfect for holiday decorating and unique shopping items.
Christmas Creations Craft Show will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fennimore Memorial building (860 Lincoln Avenue) and Fennimore Elementary School (860 Madison Street), please use side door entrance. All vendor space is full for this year with a waiting list of vendors. The Chamber thanks long time craft show veteran, Jeri Novinska, for heading this committee.
Legion Auxiliary Offers Food
Auxiliary members will offer food in the Legion annex. During the morning they will offer biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, coffee and beverages. The lunch menu includes barbeque sandwiches, hot dogs and homemade pie. They will be serving starting at 8 am through mid afternoon.
