Fundraiser to Benefit BD’s Safe Ride – Sat. March 19
A special fundraiser is planned for Saturday, March 19 to benefit BD’s Safe Ride. Activities begin at 2 p.m. at BD’s Eagles Nest in Fennimore. Activities include meat paddles, 50/50 raffles, entertainment and much more. 100 percent of the proceeds from raffles will go toward funding BD’s Safe Ride.
Safe Ride offers rides home for a small fee to area residents and visitors to the community when they don’t have a designated driver available. At one time the Wisconsin Tavern League helped cover expenses with operations like Safe Ride. Those fees have dwindled over the years and no longer cover all the expenses involved with keeping the vehicles insured, fueled and serviced.
Fennimore Police Chief Chris French, told Fennimore City Council members that since its beginning Safe Ride has helped reduce drunk driving offenses. However the recent trend shows these offenses are increasing while funding for Safe Ride continues to decline.
If you would like to make a donation of a prize or cash, please call 608-822-6510 for details.

Total funds to be granted will be up to $2,500 to one recipient or divided among any number of recipients.
