Fennimore’s 45 acre Oakwood Nature Park is open to the public free of charge from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. dailly. The nature park features trees and wildflowers native to the area with over 3 miles of walking trails. The park also offers an RV parking area for overnight visitors.
The 18 Hole Disc Golf Course is located within Oakwood Nature Park. The course is aimed to attract players of all skill levels and ages. There is no fee to play the course.
The walking trails wind through native prairie grasses and displays of wildflowers as well as a stately pine forest. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing on the trails and sledding on the hills. Sorry, no bicycles or motorized vehicles allowed on the trails.
Picnic tables and grills are conveniently located near the RV Parking area. The RV Parking area is furnished with electric hookups. The dumping station is located nearby at the City Sewer Treatment facility.
